Scott is a renowned expert in the field of Chinese medicine with over 19 years of clinical experience. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Acupuncture, and a MSc with Merit in Chinese Herbal Medicine from University of Westminster, London UK. He also has a diploma in a highly effective Chinese Yin-style massage technique called Qigong Tuina (similar to Japanese Reiki, but more hands on rather than off), also from the University of Westminster and taught by Rosey Grandage, one of the only teachers of this very effective traditional technique. He holds another diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Next Step Medicine, under the tutelage of Dr. Trevor Wing.

Scott has worked in top hospitals and clinics all over the world and has carried out over 28,000 treatments over his career. He is also registered and fully insured with the British Acupuncture Council and the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine, which represents the highest standards of professional acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, respectively, in the UK.

After his first degree in Italian and French language and literature at University College London (1994), Scott worked in publishing and business development at the peer-reviewed scientific research journal, Nature. He qualified as an acupuncturist in 2005 and co-founded and ran Arc Integrated Health, a multidisciplinary complementary health practice in central London. As well as being a director and practitioner at Arc for 8 years, Scott has also worked since 2002 at the Helios Foundation in London, a charity providing support and therapies to patients with complex health needs and chronic conditions, first as a massage practitioner and bodyworker and now as Chinese medicine physician. He is also on the Editorial Team for Acu., the British Acupuncture Council’s quarterly members’ magazine,  where he is involved in sourcing and researching articles for publication.

Scott employs a holistic style of treatment, uniquely combining Eastern approaches to health with Western and functional medical understanding. He frequently incorporates acupressure and bodywork techniques to facilitate muscular release along with acupuncture to restore balance between body and mind. He also offers lifestyle and dietary advice, which also plays an important part in any individual treatment plan.

Scott has a particular interest in helping patients with long-term, sustainable relief from acute and chronic pain. He is also experienced in treating stress, anxiety / depression, fatigue, auto-immune conditions, gynaecology and obstetrics. Scott is also interested in Chinese medicine’s ability to resolve stubborn skin conditions and diminish and reverse the signs of ageing using cosmetic acupuncture treatment, and was an apprentice Chinese medical dermatologist, John Tsagaris and also Amanda Shayle from Acuregen. Scott has a special interest in mindful movement practices such as yoga, tai chi, and qigong, and is enthusiastic about promoting their benefits in health maintenance.
