Farhana Hoque

Farhana is a qualified NHS Audiologist registered with the HCPC as a hearing aid dispenser after completing her degree at the University of Leeds in 2016. Farhana is also qualified and insured to perform microsuction ear wax removal accredited by the BAA. 

Farhana has over 5 years experience of working in the NHS with adults and children presenting with a wide range of hearing difficulties. Her role incorporates conducting hearing assessments, diagnosing hearing problems, fitting and management of hearing aids as well as rehabilitation and evaluation of more complex hearing concerns.

At the Natural Healthcare Centre, Farhana offers a microsuction ear wax removal service. Earwax is produced inside your ears to keep them clean and free of germs. It usually passes out of the ears harmlessly, but sometimes too much can build up and block the ears. Excessive ear wax can cause pain, tinnitus, infection and hearing loss through blockage.

Microsuction is the safest and most comfortable method of ear wax removal, no liquids are used during the procedure, which means that there is no fuss or mess during the procedure. Microsuction allows us to clearly see the ear canal and more importantly, exactly what we are doing, making it an exceptionally safe procedure. It is usually undertaken in a few minutes, making it a same day service.
