Podiatry
Podiatry is specialist area of healthcare, allied to medicine which involves care and maintenance of the foot and lower limb conditions. Podiatry aims to improve the independence, mobility and general quality of life for patients.
The Natural Healthcare Centre podiatrist, Daniel Johnson, will keep your feet in good working order, some feet need treatment every 6-8 weeks, others just need once a year, just to get their feet looking good for holidays, or just helping someone to manage nails and skin to prevent problems from occurring.
In addition, Daniel can carry out a biomechanical assessment to investigate lower limb function – looking closely for abnormalities and compensations. This can uncover underlying possible causes of heel pain, knee pain and even back pain. Once Daniel has identified the causes of your problem he can develop a tailor made treatment plan to improve your symptoms.
As with doctors, dentists, nurses and other allied health professionals podiatrists are registered with the health professions council, and by law are governed by them to practice at a very high level of professionalism, and by law have to achieve 30 points annually of continued professional development to keep pace with new techniques and treatments.
