Liana Cunliffe is a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy ). Using Play Therapy, she is experienced supporting children aged 5-11 with presenting concerns such as: stress, anxiousness, trauma, a child’s parent suffering from a serious illness, bullying, bereavement (and bereaved by suicide), sadness, lacking confidence and parents separating. She is researching and working towards specialising with supporting children bereaved by a parent/carer dying by suicide using play therapy. She is committed to safe practice, has regular supervision, on going professional development and has policies and procedures in place to run an effective practice.
Liana is committed and enthusiastic to offering the best service of care and support for the child, and working alongside the parent with regards to the child’s progress and offering useful information when needed. She believes that children can heal, find solutions of their own, take responsibility and become empowered through the use of therapeutic play.
